Samantha & McCallum's Fruitlands Museum Wedding

Two years ago, Samantha and McCallum said "I do" at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, Massachusetts, and October showed off for them. Peak fall foliage in every direction, a golden-hour ceremony overlooking the valley, and a tented reception under string lights. It was the kind of day that reminds you why fall weddings in New England are worth the wait.

I also photographed their engagement session, so by the wedding day it felt like photographing friends. Here is the fuller story of their day.

Getting Ready

First Look

Samantha and McCallum chose a first look under one of Fruitlands' big autumn trees, and it was the perfect call. A quiet moment together before the ceremony, with nothing but peak foliage around them.

The Ceremony

Under a floral arch with red-orange blooms and white drape, Samantha and McCallum exchanged vows as the sun dropped over the valley behind them. Their guests laughed, cried, and watched the sky turn gold.

Portraits

We slipped away into the fields while the light was still perfect. Rust-red bridesmaid dresses, navy suits, red bow ties, and foliage at its absolute peak. You cannot stage this.

Details

Rust linens, coral dahlias in bud vases, gold chargers, and a sweet nod to the two dogs who could not be there in person.

The Reception

Cocktail hour on the terrace, dinner under the tent, and a dance floor that stayed full. McCallum's mother-son dance under the string lights was one of those moments you feel in your chest.

Samantha and McCallum, thank you for trusting me with both your engagement session and your wedding day. Two years later, these photos still make me smile. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness!
