Heather & Brendan's Rustic Gatherings Lodge Wedding

Two years ago, Heather and Brendan said "I do" at Rustic Gatherings Lodge in Warren, New Hampshire, and it was the kind of day photographers dream about. A first look by the water, a ceremony under a birch arch, champagne toasts on the deck, and a sparkler exit to close it all out.

One photo from their day, the now-famous tandem bike shot, went on to become one of my most loved posts ever. Here is the fuller story of their wedding day.

First Look & Portraits

Heather and Brendan opted for a first look, stealing a quiet moment together before the ceremony so they could spend the rest of the day with their guests. We wandered down to the water, and the White Mountains did the rest.

The Ceremony

Under a birch arch draped in white, with around 100 of their favorite people watching, Heather and Brendan exchanged vows on a perfect September afternoon.

Dinner was served under the tent, the cake was cut (with a kiss, naturally), and the dance floor filled up fast.
