Dispatch at Newbury Comics in Manchester, NH
After a 5 year hiatus, the members of Dispatch released a studio album on Friday. The band decided to play a private show to some of the fans that purchased the album on the day of release. 75 bracelets were handed out to the first customers to purchase an album on Friday which could be used to get into the private show the following day.
We arrived at Newbury Comics in Manchester, NH for the show on Saturday and noticed that Pete Francis was not there. Instead, playing with Bradigan and Chad, were 3 other musicians. One who had engineered the new album. Bradigan mentioned Pete's battle with depression and had many nice things to say in support of Pete's decision to get healthy and that anybody dealing with depression are not dealing with it alone.
The band played many songs from the new album, but played one old fan favorite called Flying Horses. Brad and Chad stuck around after the performance for a Meet and Greet, signed albums and took pictures with fans. It was a small intimate show which showcased their 3 part harmonies and masterful variation in dynamics.
