Avenged Sevenfold at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion

As a house photographer at a local venue, I get the opportunity to photograph many different bands and styles of music. Last night's show was the heaviest bill on this season's lineup. The 3 bands that performed last night were Prospect Hill, Volbeat and Avenged Sevenfold. Below are some images from the opener, Prospect Hill, a fairly local band from Massachusetts. They played a high energy set with the lead singer even hopping down in front of the barricade to perform close to the crowd.

The guys from Volbeat followed Prospect Hill with an equally high energy set. The members were constantly moving around the stage and singing into whichever microphone was closest. Michael Poulsen, the lead singer asked to see 2 circle pits during the third song. A couple mosh pits opened up and the crowd surfers began coming over the barricade. That was when it was time to back out...

The crowd packed the pavilion with anticipation for Avenged Sevenfold. The band came out one at a time to the applauding crowd. I liked that the stage was pretty empty.  The microphone stands and monitors were set towards the outside of the stage. This made it nice for photography as the band members worked their way around the stage. I moved back for the third song as the pyrotechnics started popping off.
